HOME
As many of you know, our organization is celebrating its 34th year of existence. While that's a major accomplishment in this day and age, there have been quite a few hardships along the way. Like so many of the cats in our no-kill shelter, HANRI has struggled to find a permanent home. Since Ivy Turner graciously decided to turn her basement into a cat shelter back in 1978, the Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island has been forced to relocate on three separate occasions. We currently rent the space we're in now but, as you may have guessed, that's not ideal for a long-standing organization such as ours.
It has been our goal for quite some time to raise enough money to purchase the building in which we reside. Obviously we understand this is an enormous undertaking, but we are hopeful. With your help, we can once again rise to the challenge and secure a brighter future for the organization and the animals it cares for.
Please consider making a donation to the HANRI Building Campaign. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and goes a long way toward ensuring our survival for generations to come!
Beginning on December 17, the SNYPP Clinic will be adding hours in order to accomodate the need for more appointments. The clinic will now be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We feel this is a necessary adjustment as more and more patients have started to come our way.
We feel it is our duty to allow for more appointments instead of simply turning people away. We hope this gesture will encourage all the pet owners out there to take the time to ensure their animals are happy and, most importantly, healthy! As always, thank you for your support, and we look forward to taking care of your pets!
We recently signed up to be a partner with GoodShop.com and GoodSearch.com; two wonderful sites created to raise funds for non-profit organizations. GoodShop has a special relationship with over 1,000 online merchants like Apple, Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Staples and more! GoodSearch, on the other hand, allows non-profits to raise funds whenever a user searches the internet using their portal.
